Amazing Natural Death Pose Large  Psittacosaurus Skeleton Actually 32” long Uncurled

 

 

Species :  Psittacosaurus(Forerunner to Triceratops )

 

 

Description : An extinct species of Certopsian dinosaur and forerunner to Triceratops . They were obligate bipeds at adulthood with high skull with beak with males having horns on side of face. Adults range in size from skeletons 25 inches long skulls 3 inches up to 5 ft long –small in size for a ceratopsian but they were the first .  These were herbivores that lived  35-65 years before Triceratops

Description:   1-10  10    This is an amazing find . It’s a skeleton of a Psittacosaurus that is large at 32” but the death pose is unbelieveable.   The head is 5 inches It has all the natural bones in a not normal position on one leg with head back. This is a natural death pose , and even has the ribs which are never on a unnatural mount . This shows every bone and also by having it this way

it shows that each bone is not manufactured in some way from other psittcosaurs as it was cut out this way naturally out of bedrock . I believe it’s a female adult because the projection on side of skull is small , which is determining factor.  Again I never saw a natural death pose which makes it so valuable . I just sold a skull that was large for 5000 alone This doesn’t occur often in fossil records. This was bought in USA 45 years ago and a true wonder of nature  It’s also so original with head having very little restore if any and true ribs . The color is amazing with darker straited spotted surface  You will never see a bigger or better one. This was bought many years ago in USA . This is such a gorgeous piece with a natural display base  AS you know back legs are much larger and they could walk on hind legs if needed   . A mounted one this size besides breakage in delivery would be 14,000  so this is half price for all natural
