Item rating and description: 1-10  8.5 – Rarest of Rare Fine Quality Large Juvenile  Terrible PIG “ Archaeotherium 20” long by 10” wide Open Mouth Mount with all real teeth which is amazing . This is the famous pig (entelodont) so highly  talked about in the  BBC documentary “ Walking with Prehistoric Beasts”  I haven’t seen one in years  , and bought this from an old collection at great rate . I will pass on this to you on cost. Quality is very good , and completeness with high originality. The canines are all present and  all teeth original. Prep work is well done. The ears as I call them are small due to juvenile . This is a well prepped specimen also so any restore is next to impossible to tell. One cheek has  a little resto . Some parts of back of lower jaws are restored but a masterful job. . The bulk of the skull (At least 80%) is original with teeth  with pristine condition especially in back of the eyes.  I haven’t seen one in years as only old collections exist anymore as they are not finding these . Demand is high so grab this one , and if you do see one you are  going to pay normally but this one is well under price of 15 years ago  . This carnivore was at the top of the food chain and ruled the earth 23 Million years ago for over 10 million years .Yes pigs ruled the earth as every other form of life has at one time, and this was their time. This is a collectors  Dream . Few can be mounted as they are so heavy it takes and firm steel display rest as this one. The lower jaw  projections  on this animal shows it’s a male juvenile male    . THis is way undervalued as pigs go around 15,000 as so rare no but this is from an old collection to save you dollars
