One-of-Kind Middle  MIOCENE Unknown Male BEAR-DOG 21” Skull  

Species: AMPHICYON  ZHANXIANGI Species

Description:  The Largest Beardog Known MORE THAN RARE Extinct Species of Bear- Dog of Miocene existing for a few million years from 15-8 MILLION years ago . It was assigned to amphicyonids. While initially related to bears it is now found they may be basal caniforms. This is one of the most unusual carnivore. Close to A. giganteus in Europe but larger and much rarer. IN fact if you look it up the research had no full skulls and fragmented teeth. I don’t even know of any others complete.  The teeth are huge as is the skull but since we have researched only fragments its unknown on weight and lenth but from the 21” head size I would estimate at least 15 ft skeletons as 17 inch American lion skulls are 13 ft long and weighs at least a ton . It combines features of canine and feline predators . It resembles part dog and bears just enormous  with a flexible cat-like body . These bear-dogs with long limbs and specialized in chasing down prey on the open plains.  This is of great scientific importance to everyone, and unlimited value . It wasn’t even described until 2018 so its very ,very new discovered species .

Item rating and description:1-10   10  MONSTER  Miocene 95% Original Amphicyon Beardog with all teeth original worn due to a huge old male. I have an unknown American species and this is almost as rare. No known complete skulls or skeletons are known. It’s well prepped with a small amount of resto on backs of lowers, small section in back of upper skull  and a spot or 2 on zygos. Keep in mind we don’t know of any of these complete so to get one this good is incredible. It was prepped well to show the creature in a highly original way.  It does have a COA and hope to get a journal on it. This is of extreme scientific value and highly original. The teeth are fantastic n. Who has even another species of this? NO one is the answer. It was gotten from a friend, and it’s a treasure. It was professionally prepped with  quality simply outstanding, and color great. You really can’t value THIS ITEM since maybe no one has this . Beyond a museum piece, in my private collection. I’m so proud of this piece .I really can’t say anymore than here because nothing is known of this animal. You won’t find anything under this in google so here is your info.
